For the last half century, the one clinical microscope used by more hospitals and clinics anywhere has been the invisible AO series 10, with its original tungsten light source and transformer. AO 10 was the backbone of laboratories across the USA and thousands are still in use. The only thing that ever went bad was the 100x oil lens which would leak oil after considerable use. That’s why we offer 100x oil separately, with the option of buying either a plan objective or a standard one. The plan has a flat field in focus from edge to edge and costs more.

The light source on the more expensive models have a seperate transformer and provided more than enough light, providing more than enough light for higher magnification. The swing-in filter was used at low power, as the light is quite bright. We supply bulbs for everything we sell. If you’re very serious about your microscope needs and intend to use it, and you will be using it for extended periods of time -this is unbeatable. It comes with a 10 X wide field eyepieces and 4x, 10x, and 45x objectives. We have about a dozen of these with various options, call us and tell us what you need.
